Eco-printing Workshop: Impressions of Nature

An in-person gathering for slow creation and botanical alchemy

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the beautiful art of eco-printing — using real flowers and leaves to transfer their natural pigments and delicate patterns onto organic cotton socks.

What makes this workshop so uniquely special, is that we will be working with flowers I grew from seed in my garden as well as a few locally foraged plants!

Through steam, pressure, and time, each botanical leaves behind a trace of itself — soft imprints of color and form that feel both ancient and ephemeral. You’ll learn the foundations of eco-printing, from selecting plant materials to bundling and revealing your own one-of-a-kind designs.

This is an invitation to slow down, connect with the materials of the earth, and witness how nature creates art on cloth. 

All materials are provided. No prior experience needed — only curiosity and a willingness to create with intention.

Each student will receive the option to eco-print a pair of organic cotton socks OR a silk bandana

When: Sunday August 30th, 12-2pm

Where: Rooted Botanic's Studio in Ojai (address will be sent a few days before workshop)
