A sweet little field guide to dyeing with native and local plants here in the Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California!

It is so important for me to share these notes from my own experience and experimentation as there are so many plants that are in our backyards that can be used to extract color. The indigenous folks who resided on this land first used their resources for color and currently a lot of that information is not readily available. It is a passion of mine to explore those resources and educate my community on how to use them ethically. The tried and true plants that are well known in the dye community are wonderful plants to work with, however most of us don't have access to them locally, or can't grow them in the places we live. So here is an opportunity to educate ourselves on what is local and inspire us to keep exploring and experimenting in that realm as plant dyers, medicine makers, crafters, just like the Native Americans that resided on this land first.

Volume Two Summer includes:

-How to dye with Sagebrush & Yarrow

-How to eco-print with Yarrow & Walnut leaves
